Assistant Coach

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the head coach in all aspects of daily operations of the men’s soccer program.
• This includes but not limited to aid in training the varsity team, coaching the reserve team, recruiting, film breakdown, field maintenance, making arrangements for away contests and trips, and skill development of players during practice.
• Other responsibilities include maintaining good organization of the equipment room, assist with administrative responsibilities that the men’s soccer program are responsible for on a daily basis.
• Candidate is responsible for game-day field preparations including cutting grass and lining game field and assisting the Maintenance Director with fields during the summer and when needed.
• Also responsible for managing the field lights for home events and use of field by external visitors.
• Staff member is responsible for the monitoring of an institutional facility for the purposes of safety and facility security.
• Coach supervision is to prevent any activity that is dangerous to a student-athlete or other students.
• This does not allow the supervisor to direct or provide instruction to student-athletes while supervising.

Qualifications:

• Required qualifications including previous coaching and/or competitive experience at the collegiate level, experience with fundraising and social media, Front Rush, valid driver’s license, and knowledge of the NCAA, USA South, and institutional rules and regulations.
