Job Listing: Lexington Senior High School is looking for a Head Coed Cross Country Coach with a minimum of two years of documented success overseeing a Cross Country program. The position requires a reliable, hard working coach that exercises patience, tolerance and diplomacy in relations with all student athletes, parents, co-workers, guest teams and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your actions, behavior and interactions with our student athletes should be reflective of this. Responsibilities: Teach cross country fundamentals and coordinate running to help foster a winning atmosphere. Plan and develop the Cross Country program to ensure compliance with established guidelines and expectations for Lexington Senior High School and the NCHSAA. Also develop and implement summer workout schedules, including practice, home, and away competitions to provide participating students appropriate training and academic time for continued program eligibility and personal growth. Requirements: Must possess or can obtain a North Carolina Teaching Licensing through North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Must possess or can obtain a North Carolina CDL license, CPR & AED certifications and complete the NFHS Required course work within 30 days of hire.
