Job Summary

 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the marketing function including brand, consumer, content, influencer and partnership marketing, including establishing goals for the customer acquisition & retention marketing team

  • Be a voice for the western sports fan and advocate for the western lifestyle, cultivating a deep understanding of audience dynamics that helps guide effective marketing strategies

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing plan with accountability to deliver on objectives for fan engagement, content consumption, subscriber growth & retention, and other business goals

  • Develop global marketing plans with a specific emphasis in Australia, Brazil, Canada and the US

 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Refined ability to immerse oneself within a passionate target audience and translate insights into strategies that deliver business results

  • Effective strategist and writer of marketing plans, brand & creative briefs, partner & sponsor proposals, and more

  • Exceptional communication, team building and management skills

  • Creative, solutions-oriented problem solver

  • Sophisticated storyteller able to guide creative and content teams

  • Experience with subscription based and/or DTC products a plus

  • Experience with Adobe marketing platforms a plus

  • Experience driving an all-encompassing marketing strategy for a digital-first or app-based business a plus

 Education & Formal Training:
  • BA/BS in a marketing, social sciences or related field - preferred
 
Experience:

  • 6+ years in a marketing leadership role in a growth business with responsibility for brand/consumer marketing, social & content marketing, and creative production

  • Experience in the OTT, media, sports and/or entertainment sectors is a plus

  • Experience or expertise in western sports & lifestyle is a plus


Working Conditions:

 

  •  Must be willing and available to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional travel
