CREATIVE WRITING AND CONTENT SPECIALIST

Job Summary

CREATIVE WRITING AND CONTENT SPECIALIST, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position.

• An example of job responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following: Serve as the creative writing expert and will focus his/her energy on telling the story of in written form.
• Stories will include game recaps, team features, human interest pieces on student-athletes, coaches and staff, and community relation features.
• The position will also work to implement new ways to improve and expand how our stories are told, which includes assisting the social media team and exploration of other storytelling medium.
• Work closely with our web, digital and social media teams to ensure our creative content is being utilized in the best and most efficient manner and on message with the team goals.
• Other duties as required. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’ Degree at time of application
• Three to five years of professional writing experience in college athletics field
• Knowledge of NCAA compliance

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Athletics history, current teams, Big 12 Conference history
• Capable experience with other forms of storytelling outside of the written word
