Associate Athletic Director for Sports and Administration

Job Summary

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• 75% Provide oversight and direction to a group of intercollegiate sport programs.
• Serve as the central party through which operation and activities of each sport flows, including, but not limited to, ongoing evaluation of the program, student-athlete support, effective advocacy for the program, observation of program activities (e.g., practice, competition, travel), fiscal responsibility, communication between the head coach and administration, scheduling, and assisting in achieving competitive excellence.
• 10% Assisting with the review, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for the sport administration program. This responsibility will include ongoing benchmarking initiatives and internal assessments.
• 10% Assisting with oversight of internal operations.
• 5% Other duties as assigned

• a college degree, preferably and advanced degree in an applicable area of study;

• at least five years of experience in positions within or related to intercollegiate athletics, preferably direct interaction with coaches, student-athletes, and administration;

• an overall understanding of NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations;

• the ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment;

• excellent communication and writing skills and the ability to manage conflict resolution and maintain confidentialities; and

• outstanding interpersonal abilities and the highest level of personal honesty and integrity.
