Head Softball Coach

Job Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the Head Softball Coach teaching the sport of softball.


• Demonstrates a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the NCAA Division II and NSIC.


• Demonstrates the ability to evaluate and recruit prospective student-athletes and retain student-athletes.


• Organizes the administration of practices and schedules games.


• Monitors the academic progress of student-athletes.


• Cultivates relationships with alumni to help support the program.


• Assists in a fall sport for event management.


• Supervises the assistant coach and volunteer staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your application and/or resume clearly demonstrate fulfillment of the following minimum qualifications)

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution


• Knowledge of NCAA Division II and NSIC Rules


• 2 years of softball coaching experience


• Commitment to continuing education and professional development


• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree from an accredited institution


• 2 years of NCAA Division I or II softball coaching experience


• Knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations
