Job Summary

Brief Summary of Work for this Position

• The Director of Men's Basketball Operations provides oversight for the men's basketball program.
• The position supports student-athletes by assisting in the coordination of academic programs, resident life, and serving as the point person for all NCAA compliance issues.
• This position supports team budget management, primarily in the areas of travel, athletic gear, and team supplies.
• Manages resources, analyzes risks and makes decisions on team travel.
• Oversees all athletic equipment inventory and distribution.
• Manages on-campus recruiting activities and communications with recruits.
• Chart/track statistics during practice or competition. Schedules all practice and games for the men's basketball program.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years programmatic leadership experience working in a college athletic environment with student-athletes.

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to effectively manage operations in an athletic environment
• Ability to analyze and interpret policy and procedural guidelines to resolve problems and questions specific to collegiate athletic teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to coordinate multiple efforts/ projects at one time.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse population of individuals including students, parents, university faculty and staff, community members and vendors.

Preferred formal education, professional skills and work experience

• Experience working in a Division I basketball program.
