Assoc. Director, Athletics

Job Summary

The Associate Director of Athletics supports the Director and provides administrative and management support for the intercollegiate, club sport, intramural, and recreation programs. The position’s responsibilities are performed with a high level of autonomy and require involvement with multiple constituencies across campus.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative and management support for the college’s entire intercollegiate, intramural, recreation, and club athletic program. 
• Responsible for devising and implementing NCAA mandated programming and conference and institutional engagement projects.
• May act as the direct report for internal operations, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, or others, managing schedules, monitoring deadlines and projects, and evaluating performance.
• Primary advisor and contact to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
• Assists the Department Director in updating faculty, staff and Board of Manager members on participation and trends in athletics.
• Serves as Title IX and diversity and inclusion coordinator.
• Serves as Deputy Title IX Coordinator
• Has oversight of team equipment budgets and fundraising accounts. 
• Has authority to act on the director’s behalf in his /her absence. 
• Represents the department at national and regional meetings including NCAA and Centennial Conference.
• Serves on institutional, conference and national committees.
• Serves as the championships director for Centennial and NCAA tournaments at the college.
• Assists in evaluation and reappointment of current faculty, as well as the identification and recruitment of new department personnel. 
• Completes annual Department of Education and Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) reports and NCAA Financial Report.
