Technical Production Manager

Job Summary

• Manage a team of engineers to meet all logistical and technical aspects required for live broadcast production, including equipment, transmission, capture and any relevant delivery expectations


• Responsible for the day to day running of the broadcast production spaces and CER


• Maintain equipment, implement repairs cleaning/sanitation, and build relations with equipment vendors in managing assets and licenses


• Oversee and manage maintenance, logistics, transport and storage for all studio equipment


• Ability to fully operate all equipment across studio related areas and troubleshoot any issues as they arise


• Support production teams to ensure all technical requirements are met for live broadcasts


• Implement cross-departmental planning and scheduling in relation to studio operation and technical production, such as working with showrunners, producers and leadership team


• Develop and realize best-practices and internal systems to streamline production and operational efficiency

• Min of 3 years as a Technical Production Manager in live broadcast Producer/Production Manager


• Detail oriented problem solver who works well under the pressure of a live environment


• Display a deep understanding of all technical facets of live broadcast production


• Excellent technical, management and communication skills to work with multi-functional teams


• Highly proficient in broadcast equipment brands, physical and cloud based


• Build and maintain an effective relationship with 3rd party studios, vendors, crew and key technical production personnel 


• Flexible with hours and ability to work weekends when needed


•  Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills

• Strong rolodex of crew for hire candidates


• Efficient working independently and with a team


• Stellar knowledge of broadcast equipment


• Expert understanding of streaming platforms and linear broadcasting


• Desire to improve and develop operational broadcast capability
