Job Summary
Provides support to leadership, coaches, staff and students within the Athletics Department.Performs a variety of functions, assigned by the head sports performance coach.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to training and conditioning student-athletes, purchasing supplies and equipment for training, team specific activities, game-day warmups. Adheres to all rules and regulations of the university, NCAA, ASUN Conference, and Big South Conference; assists in the organization & planning of practices, player development, regional recruitment of quality prospective student-athletes.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
1.Provides a wide variety of administrative and clerical duties related to athletics 2.Provides support to assigned unit, staff, coaching staff, student-athletes or external partners 3.May assist with set up and break down of on and off-campus events and promotions DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assists coaches and coaching staff in all aspects related to the assigned program 2. Assists in the designs and implementation of Sports Performance Programs for assigned teams, as assigned 3. Supports the implementation of plans and programs to achieve appropriate and necessary physical fitness of assigned athletes and implements injury prevention programming, all in a positive training environment 4. Provides support for department-wide priorities and initiatives 5. Organizes, supervises, coordinates and employs sound coaching techniques and practices 6. Participates in university and Department of Athletics events as required 7. Prepares student-athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally to compete for Conference Championships and post-season competitions 8. Supports the program's plan to create an atmosphere favorable to the ethical, academic and athletic development of student-athletes Educational Requirements Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law and/or Institutution CSCS (through the NSCA) or SCCC (through the CSCCa) Preferred Experience ABILITIES DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
May required a current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license
Required Experience
One (1) year of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in higher education or athletics administrative support
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Complies with all NCAA, A-Sun Conference, State of Georgia and university policies, rules, and regulations
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one-time meeting assigned deadlines
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
