Purpose of Job

Assist the Athletic Director and Senior Women's Administrator (SWA) with overseeing operations and all game day events for the Department of Athletics.

Scope of Responsibilities

This position coordinates activities with other facility, operations and event management who are collectively responsible for certain facility, operations and event management duties and responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions

•    Supervise operations for all home athletic and special events - including NCAA and SWAC Championships;
•    Operational planning, set-up, and management for all State University Athletics game days including Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball, Track and Field, Soccer, Volleyball, Golf, Tennis and Softball.
•    Coordinate operational staffing needs and serve as the liaison to all game day operational entities;
•    Coordinate the operation and scheduling and use of all athletic facilities by sports camps and users other than the department of athletics;
•    Oversee building usage requests for all athletics facilities and coordinate use with coaches' practice and competition schedule;
•    Create and maintain operational publications and policies such as inclement weather policies, emergency medical response plans, heat management plans, visiting team and official's guides, and game day information website.
•    Coordinate Athletic Department in the planning, management, and operation of campus and outside events held in athletic facilities
•    Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director/SWA
•    Assign and monitor university issued fleet vehicles to staff and maintain maintenance schedule.
