Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Manage the internal and external recruitment processes using a variety of sources and methods: internet advertising, job fairs, direct sourcing, etc
- Maintain thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures, communication of all relevant information to new hires and returning employees
- Assess needs and determine successful candidate profiles by working with department managers
- Generate weekly staffing reports, while adhering to all staffing deadlines as defined by the NTC HR Manager
- Assist with the distribution of credential badges and uniforms
- Assist employees with the onboarding process
- Work with hiring managers to ensure recruitment needs have been met in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain existing relationships with Queens-area community organizations, as well as local military and law enforcement
- Conduct weekly meetings with hiring managers
Qualifications
- Strong interest in all aspects of Human Resources
- Minimum 2 years of HR and/or recruiting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments
- Ability to meet hard recruiting deadlines
- MS Office Skills with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Interpersonal, and customer service skills to represent the organization in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
- Experience working with HRIS (ICIMS) systems strongly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
