Athletic Certification Officer

Job Summary

Private Baptist University located in South Carolina is seeking an Athletic Certification Officer to join its staff.

Work Performed:

• Maintain and manage all student-athlete eligibility certification documentation.
• Interact with the Director of Student-Athlete Success and the NCAA Compliance Officer regarding academic progress and maintain information flow regarding student-athletes progress towards degree.
• Provide ongoing monitoring of total number of hours applicable toward student-athletes NCAA progress.
• Stay current with NCAA rules and regulations as it pertains to academic eligibility.
• Access Jumpforward and/or Compliance Assistant databases for updates on all initial eligibility. Coordinate with the Director of Student-Athlete Success regarding degree requirements and degree audit reports.
• Track on-going certification in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
• Maintain and update all academic information for student-athletes in Jumpforward/Compliance Assistant databases.
• Attend annual NCAA Regional Rules Seminar and other training opportunities as necessary to remain current in all regulation conformances.
