Responsibilities

We are seeking an innovative, experienced and results-driven leader to develop, execute and implement effective talent acquisition strategies and plans in support of Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk's current and projected growth. Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, this position will direct both the Professional Talent Acquisition and Early Career programs (internships, job placement, and career coaching). In this role you will ensure an effective and timely recruitment process for all positions including Executive, Administrative, Technical (Back of House) and Customer Facing roles (Front of House). You will also be responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of employment branding and sourcing that attracts top-quality talent.

Directly oversee professional talent acquisition operations, supervising a team of seasoned recruiters
Provide strategic leadership to the team in the development and execution of recruitment strategies
Establish innovative sourcing strategies to attract top talent candidates and directly recruit for select executive level searches
Foster a culture of inclusivity through strategic partnerships with internal leaders and external community organizations and/or agencies that focus on identifying exceptional diverse talent
Partner with corporate TA on the optimization of the applicant tracking system (BrassRing) to ensure compliance, consistency and best practice utilization to maintain data integrity.
Conduct ongoing analysis of the Talent Acquisition function to determine how recruitment processes and protocols may be streamlined, new talent pools can be developed, and department resources can be most effectively deployed
Identify and create relevant recruitment performance metrics and data to analyze trends, drive change and assess progress, enterprise-wide
Serve as an advisor and strategic liaison to Hiring Managers and HR, providing guidance and direction related to all Staffing programs in support of strategic business goals and needs
Influence key stakeholders, providing partnership and support to bring consensus to the company's recruitment mission
Lead the development and implementation of employment marketing and branding approaches for attracting talent including utilization of emerging technologies (i.e. social media) and identifying opportunities to market the Company to a diverse population
Partner with Director of Learning & Organizational Development to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new-hires, including delivering expectations on career mobility, while addressing broader strategic workforce and talent planning needs
Research, develop and participate in innovative programs and services in order to build strong candidate pools and develop diverse talent pipelines.
Determine and/or clarify recruitment standards and compliance expectations and ensure units are trained accordingly.
Develop, oversee and drive internship and recruitment programs intended to create a pool of talented candidates for entry to mid-management professional positions throughout the organization. The suite of programs will include, but not limited to, managing the NBCUniversal internship program, internal USH UShine internship program, liaising with NBCU and Comcast on leadership development programs
Ensure candidates experience an exceptional talent acquisition process
Provide regular reporting to HR and Executive team on the status of staffing activities and performance.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor's degree required.
- 10+ years of HR experience with at least 7 years experience in talent acquisition management and direct supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies, marketing plans, policies and programs.
- Excellent leadership/interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated knowledge of strategic workforce planning to drive processes and deliver high quality HR services in a fast paced, high dynamic environment.
- Experience building consensus and integrating processes, policies and procedures across multiple decision-makers in a hybrid corporate structure
- Hands-on, engaged, motivated self-starter with managerial experience
- Proven track record of success and a strong focus on quality and customer service
- Experience in sourcing candidates for niche/specialty positions and promoting an inclusive workforce.
- Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills
- Able to deal with immediate priorities while anticipating and planning for strategic future needs
- Ability to influence the organization with skill, grace and humor

Desired Characteristics

- Experience in theme park, hospitality or retail industry highly preferred
- Experience preferred in both high volume hourly and professional staffing environments
- Experience with Brassring or similar applicant tracking systems
- Prior experience in partnering with Finance and Department Heads to help manage and reconcile headcount
- Success in developing and negotiating major vendor relationships
