Assistant Professor/Football Defensive Coordinator

Job Summary

In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Defensive Coordinator is responsible for all defensive phases of an NCAA Division III football program, including but not limited to participating in practice planning organization and implementation, the mentoring of graduate staff, the development of student-athletes, the ability to conduct film analysis, create scouting reports, develop and implement defensive game plans, and serving as a recruiter for the football program and Springfield College.  Additional duties may include assistance in academic monitoring, community engagement, administrative tasks, and communication including social media and other duties as assigned.  Applicants must possess working knowledge of NCAA, ECAC, and NEWMAC bylaws and be willing to work evenings and weekends.
