The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is a senior institution in the University of South Carolina system. Located on the coast, USCB responds to regional needs, draws upon regional strengths and prepares graduates to contribute locally, nationally and internationally with its mission of teaching, research and service.
USCB offers small classes and personalized instruction in 54 areas of study including 20 bachelor’s degree and two master’s degree programs. The graduate programs are M.S. in Computational Science and M.Ed. in Literacy. Associate’s degrees and 100 percent online degrees are also offered. USCB specializes in experiential learning, with students participating in internships, community service projects, international programs, fieldwork and research. The Beaufort College Honors program is open to qualified students of all majors and has specific cohorts in Biology and Nursing.
