Grounds Athletic Technician

Job Summary

The position role will be responsible for maintaining campus grounds and athletic fields, assisting Athletic Department Equipment manager, participating in tree, plant, and turf maintenance, snow removal operations, irrigation system programing, maintenance and repair, and other related duties.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma with good knowledge of herbicide and pesticide mixing and application procedures required.
2. General knowledge of athletic rules and regulations required.
3. Completion of 30 semester hours of college level in horticulture, landscape contracting, or a related field preferred.
4. Two years of experience, education, or combination of, in professional turf maintenance, irrigation maintenance, landscaping, athletic field maintenance.
5. Valid Pesticide applicator's license with turf and right-of-way endorsements required within 6 months of hire date.
