Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and execution-focused Senior Director, Pre-Construction Sales Engineer – Sports & Entertainment to lead the planning, design review, and deployment readiness of technology installations across Sports & Entertainment venues and other large-format facilities.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full pre-construction lifecycle — from evaluating design specifications and sourcing materials to coordinating vendors and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards. The Director will work cross-functionally with sales, operations, procurement, and external partners to support scalable, repeatable asset deployments.
The role reports directly to the EVP, Partnerships & Strategy and plays a critical role in ensuring physical deployments align with operational, financial, and performance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the review, evaluation, and approval of project designs to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and compliance with site and company standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed pre-construction and installation roadmaps for sports venues and large-scale environments.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate pricing for hardware, software, and installation services to optimize cost efficiency and performance reliability.
- Coordinate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align technology construction.
- Manage relationships with contractors, integrators, and technology vendors to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and contractual performance.
- Oversee on-site execution support, commissioning, and final acceptance testing to confirm operational readiness.
- Identify project risks related to schedule, cost, or installation quality and implement mitigation strategies.
- Track and report project performance metrics, timelines, and vendor performance to the EVP, Operations.
- Ensure installations meet company standards for long-term maintainability and operational scalability.

Experience
- Proven experience in pre-construction engineering, project design, deployment management, or large-scale technology installations.
- Experience working within sports venues, entertainment facilities, digital infrastructure, or large-format technology deployments is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vendors and contractors across complex project environments.
- Strong background in cost analysis, sourcing, and contract negotiation for technical and construction-related services.
- Familiarity with end-to-end project lifecycle management, from design review through final acceptance.
- Ability to interpret technical data and communicate project status clearly to executive leadership.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
