Athletic Director

Job Summary

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinating, communicating, organizing, and planning of all aspects of HB Athletic/Physical Education/Wellness in conjunction with the Head of School and other members of the athletic administration.
• Exuding enthusiasm/joy and living the mission of the school.
• Overseeing and executing the Athletics/Physical Education budget.
• Building a bold vision for athletics while creating a culture of team and fun.
• Hiring, training, supervising, mentoring, observing, evaluating and providing professional development opportunities for coaches and physical education teachers.
• Managing facilities, equipment, uniforms, and transportation for athletics
• Creating and aligning Athletic Department procedures, protocols, communication, and policies.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Masters in Athletic Administration preferred.

• The Athletic Director should be a quality communicator, multi-tasker, and problem solver and should be able to make program recommendations as well as serve on committees.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high regard for attention to detail.
• Willing to be a role model for young women and partner with parents and coaches
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with a large coaching staff and student-athletes.
