Job Summary

 

 

Job Description

  • Support with preparation of marketing partnership deal financial schedules, detailing all revenue and expense projections and summary analysis for senior management.
  • Support the team with the managing of the Marketing Partnership revenue recognition process, including contract/deal memo tracking, comparison to rate card, monthly revenue posting to general ledger and actual versus budget/forecast comparison.
  • Support with tracking and reconciliation of fulfillment costs.
  • Support in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks including creation and maintenance of upload files.
  • Support in the development of Marketing Partnership internal management reports, including digital revenues, direct signage and sponsorship analysis.
  • Pull together details used in liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Support with the completion of all NBA, NHL and G-League reporting packages and surveys as it relates to sponsorship.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support team in managing revenue recognition/contract tracking/fulfillment costs of all marketing partnership agreements.
  • Support the team with preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks for marketing partnerships.
  • Support the team in the overall month end close process for marketing partnerships which includes creation of journal entries and preparation of balance sheet and expense account analysis.

 

 

Qualifications

  • BS in business/accounting or related field.
  • MBA a plus.
  • Financial accounting background required.
  • 2-3 years experience in finance/accounting, preferably in financial analysis and budgeting in the entertainment or sports industry.
  • Strong skills in systems currently utilized by the organizations.
  • Ability to write and maintain TM1 reports.

 

 

Education

  • Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework are preferred.
  • Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
