Job Summary

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:

The Summer internship operates from May through August providing the right candidate an opportunity for hands-on experience assisting in our fundraising and donations efforts, our event planning, and our volunteer program which all provide valuable skills learned for students looking to make the next step in their professional career.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Candidates MUST BE enrolled in college and receive college credit

· Junior or Senior level students are preferred

· Strong oral and written communication skills desired

· Enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to learn the trade

· Be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

· Gain valuable experience in project and event management

· Acquire skills in non-profit outreach and fundraising

· Operation of various donation and CRM software

· Networking with donors, volunteers, and community partners

· Promotion of the NHL Team Foundation as well as your own personal brand

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support Foundation and NHL Team staff in office, and at events

· Assist in organizing our various projects and programs

· Assist in facilitating our in-kind donations to other organizations

· Other tasks will be assigned as needed
