The Jacksonville Icemen are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as members of our Hockey Operations Staff for the 2018-19 season. The internship provides a great opportunity to work side-by-side with the Icemen Coaching staff and to learn about the video technology and advance analytic stats in today's professional hockey game. It is also a great opportunity to get started in the sports industry and build your resume. This is an un-paid internship that can be used for college credit (if applicable). Please note that you must be available to work all 36 regular season home games and play-offs.



RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

Assist in breaking down video into clips
Assist in videotaping Icemen home games
Assist in recording game statistics
Assist in storing and managing of statistics database
Various other tasks assigned by Icemen coaches
Must be able to take direction and work well with others
Must be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong knowledge of hockey required
Must have the ability to use a video camera and follow a fast-paced game
Must have a decent understanding of computers and technology.
Must be willing and able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift over 25+ pounds
Must possess strong teamwork skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Must have the ability to multi-task
Must have housing in or around the Jacksonville area.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, communicate with others.
The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.

The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships
