Description:
We are seeking a Data Architect who will partner with the business, sales analytics and IT, to be a key influencer in the end-to-end architecture, design, execution, operation and support of a Data Platform. You will build ease of use data structures to facilitate reporting and monitoring key performance indicators. Collaborating across disciplines, you will identify internal/external data sources to design and implement table structure, data products, ETL strategy, automation frameworks and scalable data pipelines. 

 
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements.

  • Apply technical knowledge to architect solutions that meet business and IT needs, create Data Platform, AA/AI roadmaps, and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key analytics and AI technologies where appropriate (e.g. Azure ML, ML Server, BOT framework, Cognitive Services, Big Data, Data Lake, Azure Databricks, etc.)

  • Ensure that solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment

  • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used by the organization

  • Combining multiple data sources into clean new source for use in data visualizations and analyses; solving data mismatch issues as needed

  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

  • Extending and appending company’s data with third party sources of information as needed

  • Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

  • Operating as primary contact working with Business Systems team (IT organization)

  • Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

  • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, or related field

  • Strong experience designing and deploying full stack data analytics platforms including the use of data warehouse/lake technologies and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau and Advanced Analytics including Azure Data Bricks

  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management. required

  • Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, in the following Data Platform Cloud solutions:

    • SQL including OSS (postgre, MySQL etc), Azure SQL

    • NoSQL Databases including OSS (Maria, Mongo etc), Cosmos DB

    • Big Data including SQL DW, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift


  • Strong experience with both real-time and batch pipelines-based data integration frameworks

  • Proficiency in using query languages (SQL highly preferred)

  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.)

  • Experience in full life cycle of complex software deployment projects using structured methodologies including Agile/Scrum and SDLC

  • Good applied statistics skills (distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.)

  • Good scripting and programming skills (SQL, Java, Python, etc.)

  • Great communication skills

  • Thoughtful practitioner of software engineering methodologies, frameworks and tools
