Legal Counsel

Job Summary

Core Functions:

• Draft and administer sponsor, suite, services, facility use, license, employment, and other agreements 
• Assist with the implementation and management of a contract management system 
• Conduct and coordinate legal research for a variety of legal issues and provide clear recommendations to staff 
• Manage and prioritize daily workflow, assess risk for new initiatives
• Review and draft rules and guidelines for sweepstakes, contests and promotions; marketing and guest services initiatives
• Act as liaison with insurance carriers and brokers with respect to claims, coverage, reporting and renewals
• Manage all waiver and releases for all events 
• Assist with management of litigation and outside counsel
• Assist with the management of workers compensation claims
• Maintain complete confidentiality in all matters relating to the Legal Department
• Employee is expected to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment while working in a team environment
• Other legal functions as delegated by Chief Legal Officer

 Experience & Education:

• Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school required
• Eligibility to practice law in Florida as a member of the bar or Registered House Counsel
• Familiarity of the NFL Rules and Regulations preferred
• 3-7 years of in-house legal experience

• The company is a professional, fast paced, creative business environment.  Other environmental conditions:
• Extended evening, weekend work hours sometimes required. Required to work all home games; may have to work occasional holidays
• Stressful and demanding work environment working on short deadlines
• Computer and desk work a significant part of daily activities
• Sitting, standing, working with hands for extended periods of time
• Rarely is lifting more than 20 pounds required
