Job Summary

Internship Description
  • The Marketing Department is responsible for placing advertising, creating and executing promotions and coordinating publicity for Bridgestone Arena and NHL Team events.
  • Events include concerts, family events, and NHL Team games and off-ice events.
  • Internship responsibilities will include assisting the Marketing Department in the development and implementation of promotional campaigns, monitoring and reporting on in house marketing efforts, and researching fine details related to artists and tours coming to the arena.
  • Responsibilities will also include assisting in day/night of event and game duties including working closely with radio stations on premises, plaza and concourse event set up, coordination of meet and greets and working directly with media covering events and gathering unique and engaging social content on event nights. 
 
This is an unpaid internship and candidates must be eligible to earn academic credit from an accredited college or university for participating in the SE101 Program. 


NHL Team & Bridgestone Arena Internship Requirements

  • Interns must be students enrolled in classes at an accredited college or university.

  • The internship must be a part of the student’s curriculum.

  • The internship must provide earned hours that are directly applied to the student’s degree.

  • Interns must be fun, energetic and outgoing individuals with a strong work ethic who possess the ability to interact with all types of people.

  • Internships do not provide housing, compensation or transportation.

  • Internships do not guarantee full-time positions with the NHL Team or Bridgestone Arena upon completion.

  • As a condition of internship, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, including a criminal history check and character references.

 
Minimum Requirements

  • Interns must work a minimum of 32 hours per week, per semester

  • Interns must be available to work all game and event nights

  • Interns must be high-energy, detail-oriented, team players

  • Interns must own a reliable iPhone with a functioning camera and microphone

  • Interns must have a working knowledge of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
