Athletics Facility and Event Coordinator

Job Summary

Seeking an individual to assist with facility and event management for designated seasonal sports, facility rentals, championship events, and other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Facility & Event Management and/or Facility and Event Manager. Responsibilities include set-up and tear-down of athletic facilities, daily building management and maintenance, event management, coordinating and accommodating visiting teams and officials, and general oversight of athletic events and staff. Some lifting and other manual labor is required.

Minimum of 2 years of event and/or facility management within collegiate athletics is required. Candidate must be willing to keep flexible hours including nights/weekends and long days. Must have a positive attitude throughout and a willingness to engage in a variety of detail-oriented tasks. Must be self-motivated, reliable, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders including coaches/athletes, event staff, administration, visiting teams, officials, etc. Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university's insurance carrier. Frequent lifting requiring the execution of up to sixty pounds of force to move and use supplies, use cleaning aids and equipment including set-up and tear-down of athletic facilities, daily building management and maintenance.

Desired Qualifications:
This position is ideally suited for an individual who previously fulfilled a graduate assistantship and has earned a Master's degree or equivalent.
