Aquatics and Safety Manager

Job Summary

The Aquatics & Safety Manager oversees a comprehensive aquatic and rock wall program. This position encompasses a wide variety of administrative and supervisory duties. The manager directly supervises and provides leadership for lifeguards, rock wall monitors, and pool supervisors. reports to the Assistant Director for Operations & Staff Development.

Skills  &  Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience. Degree in recreation, physical education or related field preferred.
2. Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
3. Current Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor Certifications or ability to obtain.
4. Certified Pool Operator, Aquatic Facility Operator, or similar pool operator's license or ability to obtain.
5. Demonstrated administrative skills in budget development and fiscal/statistical management; planning, implementing and evaluating programs; risk management.
