Job Summary
The Director of Communications will be in charge of RISE's brand storytelling as well as external and internal communications. The position is responsible for raising public awareness of the brand, its impact, priorities, and culture. This role also works closely with the CEO and leadership team to support communications efforts with key internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, possesses an incredible attention to detail and thrives in collaborative, solutions-oriented environments.
5+ years of relevant experience, likely within in communications, media, journalism or content.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required (writing, proofreading, story development, media materials, strategy documents, decks, etc.).
A passion for advancing racial equity and committed to the RISE mission of ending racial discrimination, championing social justice and improving race relations.
Proven track record working with organizational and industry leaders.
Strong worth ethic and ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment, while being agile enough to pivot quickly if needed.
