Job Summary

 

Minimum Qualifications

   

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field

   

• Up to one (1) year of related work experience within a collegiate or professional sports setting

   

• NATA/BOC certified or certification eligible

   

• Good standing for licensure as an Athletic Trainer by the KY Board of Medical Licensure

   

• CPR/AED Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet

Position Description

(Hiring multiple positions) The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2021-22 academic year starting in May-August of 2021 depending on sport assignment.  The sport assignment shall be at the discretion of the Senior Director of Sports Medicine, but may include Football, Tennis/Soccer, Track & Field, Baseball or Rowing.  Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will provide healthcare services for their assigned team, including but not limited to: injury prevention and evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, practice/event coverage, physician referral, medical appointments.  Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers will be asked to participate in a mentorship program and may be assigned professional development tasks during their tenure. This position will report to the Senior Director of Sports Medicine or his/her designee. 

Job Responsibilities:

   

• Provide game, practice, conditioning athletic training coverage for assigned sports

   

• Provide training room coverage

   

• Medical records management

   

• Other duties assigned by the Senior Director of Sports Medicine
