Job Summary
The Associate Athletic Trainer serves as a team(s) Head Athletic Trainer and is the primary decision maker and provider of the comprehensive and often complex medical care and general well-being of assigned student-athletes. Primary responsibilities include providing immediate health care through an independent assessment of injuries and illnesses and short and long term orthopedic rehabilitative care, in addition to identifying mental health and nutritional issues and coordinating appropriate provider referrals. This position is responsible for the appropriate oversight and supervision of graduate assistant and student athletic trainers.
Bachelor’s degree in athletic training required. A minimum of three years of experience as a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer. Must be eligible for Ohio state licensure – National Athletic Trainers Association Board (NATABOC) and Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers (OTPTAT) Board Certifications. Continuing education required.
Master's degree preferred.
