Position: Marketing and Event Operations Intern
About the Position: The Rochester Knighthawks Marketing & Event Operations department is seeking an individual to assist with the operations of Knighthawks related events. To be successful in this position this candidate should be organized, outgoing, personable, and dependable. The 2018-2019 Rochester Knighthawks Internship program will start in October 2018 and lasts through April 2019. Playoffs can extend the season until end of May.
Candidates:
- Must be able to work flexible hours (including nights, weekends & holidays as assigned)
- Fall 2018 Interns must be able to work any/all December home games
- Spring 2018 Interns must be able to work all home games for the remainder of the season
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the daily needs of Marketing & Event Operations department.
- Assist Marketing & Event Operations Department with Knighthawks events; Knighthawks games, non-game day events, specialty events, etc.
- Help with preparation for game day with team members; planning, correspondences, meetings, payroll, etc.
- Assist with the scheduling and purchasing of event supplies. (ex. Signs, fliers, brochures, etc.) - Aid in organizing and executing all in-game promotional activities
- Support correspondences between Team Members, management and other organizations involved with the successful completion of the event(s).
- Perform additional tasks and game specific duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must receive credit for the internship.
- Intern would also gain experience with game day planning and preparation.
- Candidate must be flexible, positive attitude, takes initiative, dedicated, professional, well spoken, ability to work as part of a team, computer skills, creative, etc.
