The Photography Intern will assist the Photography Manager with all photo editing, archiving and fulfillment of photo requests.

Primary Responsibilities:

Shoot community and special team events

- Crop, caption, tone and apply metadata to photos and help maintain photo archive

- Serve as primary contact for all internal photo printing and framing needs

Handle image sourcing / coordinating internal and external photo requests
Help curate postgame photo galleries for chicagoblackhawks.com

- Select photos for internal and external use based on strength of composition, content, light and color

Edit/retouch photos for social media platforms
Photograph sponsorship and fan elements on game nights

- Help ensure proper activation of photography needs for Marketing and Corporate Sponsorship contracts

Assist Photography Manager with all photo shoots, plus carrying equipment and extra gear
All other gameday and miscellaneous duties as assigned, including administrative tasks for main switchboard as well as executives as needed



Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Photography or Photojournalism
Proficient with Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop and Photo Mechanic
Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience
Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment and in media work zones
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to travel to various events throughout the community
