Job Summary
SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will assist the college football head coach in the organization and management of a competitive NCAA Division III football program. The position responsibilities will include teaching, guiding and coaching student-athletes for successful competition; executing the duties of a defensive coordinator or position coach; supporting student-athletes' academic success; recruiting prospective students; scouting opponents; fundraising; developing alumni and parent relations; administrative tasks; and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Coaching, Counseling and Guiding Student Athletes:
- Responsible for providing instruction and training necessary to create skills, techniques, and physical conditioning sufficient to enable each participant to compete safely and competently. Must exhibit a high level of expertise in the sport. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of practice and game plans, and operating related digital platforms.
- Responsible for representing the Colleges on the highest professional level with dignity, integrity, and strength of character and to exhibit ethical behavior.
- Through effective rapport and communication with student-athletes, reinforces academic success as a priority. Encourages student-athletes to foster positive relationships with faculty, deans and staff.
Operational Team Responsibilities
- Serve on Athletics Department operational team, assisting with departmental initiatives
- Represent the department on campus committees.
