Job Summary
The Athletics Counselor serves as a generalist and a regular member of the Counseling Department faculty. This entails providing counseling services related to transfer, vocational/occupational programs, career and academic skills development. The position will be responsible for teaching counseling courses, leading workshops, orientations, and seminars.
Required:
Counseling experience working in a California Community College.
Experience teaching career planning, college success and other personal development courses at the post-secondary level.
Demonstrated skill in communicating respectfully and sensitively with people at various levels within organizations who are diverse in their cultures, language groups and abilities.
Experience and proficiency in educational, career, and personal counseling at a community college or university.
Training and experience working with individuals and groups in providing personal and crisis counseling.
