Athletics Learning Specialist

Job Summary

This position provides intensive academic support to an assigned group of student-athletes. Some of these athletes may have diagnosed or undiagnosed disabilities or disorders. The incumbent may also provide additional support in the form of academic advising, monitoring academic performance and class attendance, and monitoring eligibility.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or special education teacher certification.

Master's Degree in a related field and/or special education teacher certification.

1-3 years of experience serving students with learning challenges and disabilities, and experience working with students in a secondary or college/university setting.
