Job Summary

The Student-Athlete Academic Coordinator counsels and guides student-athletes to educational success. The student-athlete academic coordinator works with student-athletes to get them prepared for a career after college.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree in social work, counseling, higher education administration, sport leadership, humanities or related area.

Experience working in a university student-athlete support services or other related support activity.

Experience teaching and/or leading workshops.

Experience working with student-athletes at a large, diverse, urban, NCAA Division l university.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a member at VCU.
