Description
Do you enjoy working with children and living a healthy way of life? We are looking for an enthusiastic Birthday Party Supervisor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and helping our Life Time Junior Members celebrate their birthdays. A typical day for a Birthday Party Supervisor could include:
Birthday party programming, scheduling and billing
Communicating with host families before, during and after parties
Supervising and assisting team members with restocking, cleaning and setting up party rooms
Overseeing a rock climbing session
Serving snacks, beverages and cake
Coordinating third-party entertainment such as clowns, magicians, etc.
Job Description
As a Birthday Party Supervisor, your main responsibility is hosting fun, memorable birthday parties for kids between the ages of one and 11. You'll work alongside other Kids Activity team members to provide a welcoming, entertaining and safe environment for our Life Time Junior Members and their party guests. During each party, you'll oversee a variety of age-appropriate, fitness-based activities that kids enjoy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Greet, acknowledge and interact with members and their guests in a friendly and professional manner
Facilitate organized birthday party activities and ensure children are active, interested and safe throughout the party
Explain and demonstrate games and activities to party participants
Supervise activities during birthday parties, including rock climbing, gym games and swimming
Resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner
Respond to Member inquiries regarding Life Time Fitness policies and procedures
Immediately report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth
Qualifications
Working towards a high school diploma or GED
Six months to one year of experience working with children (preferred)
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
First Aid certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
Other Requirements
At Life Time, the safety of our Junior Members is a top priority. Applicants must complete all state or federal requirements prior to their first day of directly working with children or within another specified timeframe. Requirements vary by state and may include, but are not limited to:
Physical
Tuberculosis test
All required vaccinations (or signed exemption)
Fingerprints taken by a local police department for a background check
Background checks required by state specific child care licensing laws in addition to a Life Time background check
Continuing education courses for continued employment in working with children
All requirements must be completed at the cost of the applicant, unless prohibited by law.
