Role Purpose
The Assistant Manager, Technical Logistics is responsible for leading, alongside the Sr. Manager . Technical Logistics, the logistical functions related to the daily operation of the Stamford, CT, based headquarters for NBC Sports Group and our newly opened warehouse in Monroe, CT. The Assistant Manager works to ensure that all shipping, receiving, purchase order reconciling, and inventory management operations are on/or ahead of schedule and accurate in deliverables. The employee must be available to work nights, weekends, or holidays as event and/or project schedules dictate.
Responsibilities
Assist with weekly scheduling of team members
Assist with timecard entry, approvals, and follow up
Assist with tracking departmental workflows to ensure timely task completion
Support all customers as a point of contact, information, and action
Support all team members as a source of hourly & daily direction
Effective management of loading dock operation . shipping, receiving, storage
Warehousing logistics and facility material handling, picking, packing and shipping, moving equipment pallets, boxes
Asset tracking and Inventory control
Assist with pulling and staging technical and non-technical equipment and production supply orders
Assist with shipping and receiving mail, packages and freight
Assist with inventorying by working on PC and scanning technical equipment
Assist with receiving supplies and tracking purchase orders
Physically demanding position, must be able to lift at least 50 pounds`
Support all customers with a high level of service and support
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
College Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum four (4) years' experience as a utility, gaffer, grip, production assistant or related
Knowledge of television equipment preferred
Basic knowledge of broadcast or production logistics or related preferred
Must be computer proficient in Microsoft Windows
Must satisfy background check requirements
Must be able to operate forklift or other MHE, training provided if necessary
