Paid Internship - Sponsorship Sales and Marketing

About Company: Sport Sponsorships and Event Consulting, a sponsorship and event consulting practice based in Cranbury, NJ works with clients on business development and sponsorship sales. The company has developed a culture founded on innovation, creativity, positive reinforcement and teaching.

SSEC Internship Philosophy: SSEC maintains a small, select intern group in order to ensure that interns receive proper teaching and mentoring. It is SSEC’s goal to help each intern achieve their personal career goals. We don’t expect you to know everything but we expect you to be willing to learn and receive positive coaching. Summary

- Location: Offices based in Cranbury, NJ

- Days per week: Four to Five Days per week

- Hours of operation: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (Intern hours are flexible)

- Duration: 6 months with a mutual option to extend

- Type: Paid Internship

Position Requirements:

o Possess an entrepreneurial mindset.

o Looking to learn the sponsorship sales and marketing business.

o Organized and detail oriented skill set will be key in succeeding at this position.

o Passion for prospecting, sales outreach, and marketing ideation. Intern selected will conduct daily outreach via email and phone calls

o Possess Power Point or similar presentation software skill set.

o Previous internships are a plus, but not required.

What the selected candidate(s) will receive:

o SSEC is led by long time sponsorship and event executive who believes in teaching and mentoring sports marketing interns and setting them up to succeed in a business development or sports marketing career.

o SSEC will ensure that the selected candidate is taught and learns a proven sponsorship sales and marketing process.

o The candidate selected for the position will receive strong experience in selling to brands, building presentations, creating proposals, conducting outreach, client management and working on event activations.
