Job Summary

Job Summary: The Law Clerk’s primary responsibilities will be to provide a wide range of legal support for the hockey Team and Nationwide Arena. The Law Clerk will assist with and gain experience in both legal and administrative functions in the Legal Department of a professional sports franchise. This position is paid, part-time (20 hours per week) for the 2019 summer (estimated May to August) intended for a rising 3L law student. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Assisting with revising, drafting and filing a variety of transactional documents
• Reviewing and drafting sweepstakes and contests rules
• Managing building and vehicle permits, insurance and registrations
• Performing legal research and writing, including legal memorandum and briefing

Qualifications: 

• Rising 3L (or 4L if night school) law student at an accredited university
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Outstanding law school activity record: honors student, law review, appellate moot court and/or leadership positions within organizations or publications
• Prior sports, entertainment, law firm or in-house experience a plus
