Job Summary

Summary
The MLB Team are seeking a motivated and creative photographer with a strong interest in baseball to join the Photo/Marketing department as an in-season gameday photographer. 

Candidate will work with the Team Photographer on shooting, editing, archiving and other daily responsibilities during the 2019 season. This position is contracted and will last for the 2019 season only.
 
Duties and responsibilities

• Photography of all aspects of  baseball including but not limited to in game/stadium action, Fans, Batting Practice community events, photoshoots, special events and Promotions
• Assistance with the archiving and tagging of current and historical images
• ‘Turn and burn’ style execution on a tight deadline
• Selection and editing of images to be used for social and photo archive
• Development of the brand through evolutionary and engaging photography techniques and visions
• Other tasks as assigned

 
 
Qualifications & requirements

• Ability to work the majority of games on the season.
• Degree in photography or photography related preferred
• Experience in the field of sports photography and photo editing
• Proficiency in photography techniques including working knowledge of studio lighting and DSLR cameras as well as adobe bridge, photoshop and Lightroom experience
• Creative and artistic mindset
• DSLR setup necessary
• Flexible schedule – ability to work evenings and weekends
• Available to travel if needed
• Photography and photo editing experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to problem solve and think on their feet
• Organizational and Communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Baseball knowledge is a plus

Work Environment:

• Position will work in an office and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment.
• Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment
• Position will require lifting and transport of heavy camera equipment (10-15lbs)
• Position may require standing for long periods of time, walking up and down stairs in a stadium environment.
