Job Summary

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree and demonstrated effectiveness playing and/or coaching baseball is required.
• Master’s degree, college coaching experience and/or participation at the collegiate level are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and directing all aspects of a NCAA Division III baseball program that advances the mission of intercollegiate athletics and the university.
• Supervises assistant coaching staff.
• Leads student recruiting and retention efforts.
• Coaches student athletes and fosters their skill development.
• Leads coaching plans and implementation at practices and competitions.
• Provides for students’ safety, health and wellbeing.
• Assures compliance with NCAA, Conferences, and university policies.
• Provides sound fiscal management.
• Supervises equipment oversight, scheduling, travel planning, and summer camps.
• Oversees off-season programs and athlete development.
• Coordinates program communication and fundraising efforts with the Athletic Director and External Relations.
