Assistant Coach of Volleyball

Job Summary

Job Summary:

• The Assistant Coach will be responsible for supporting in the organization and management of the Women's Volleyball Program, while reporting directly to the Head Coach.
• Duties are primarily during the fall season with recruiting and training responsibilities during the off-season as directed by the Head Coach.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Assist with the coordination and administration of all aspects of the program as directed by the head coach.
• Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes who show potential as directed by the head coach.
• Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
• Encourage good sportsmanship.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the further development of the volleyball program.
• Attend all practices, team meetings, and matches unless otherwise agreed upon by the Head Coach.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics.

• Leadership
• Verbal communication skills in order to coach athletes, recruit and deal with all individuals connected to the program
• Basic computer and film skills
• Ability to effectively teach and coach students in both a team and individual setting
• Excellent communication skills

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree
• Previous volleyball coaching experience
• Working knowledge of the NCAA DIII rules/regulations

Preferred Qualifications :

• 2+ years collegiate coaching experience
• Collegiate playing experience
• Current First Aid, CPR and AED If they do not, they will be required to be certified by our athletic training staff.
