Convention Sales Manager

Job Summary

• Working with Director of Sales and Marketing using forecasting techniques to determine the “best use of space” to achieve business goals, as well as evaluate each piece of business and determine if business will generate the greatest return.


•  Assist Director of Sales and Marketing in overall obtaining sales of the facility to include proposals, presentations, negotiations and closing of sale. 

•  Extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry. A minimum of three years previous experience in event coordination – preferably in a convention center, hotel, public assembly facility or in exhibition/event/meeting planning.  


•  Knowledge of and proven experience in computer programs – e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Ungerboeck and ability to quickly learn new software programs.
