Athletic Administration Graduate Assistant, NCAA

Job Summary

Job Duties:

• Game Management – work with athletic staff to conduct all event management needs for our 19 sports plus high school events.
• A)Assist with hiring workers for events
• B)Set up equipment to run events (scoreboards, chairs, etc.)
• C)Supervise workers during events
• D)Tear down equipment at end of events
• Marketing and Promotions – Work with Athletic Development Officer, Director of Marketing and Promotions and Athletic Administration on all marketing and fund-raising activities
• A)Assist with planning promotional activities for home athletic events (ex: Hy-Vee Half Court Challenge, MU Roll into Savings Yahtzee game)
• B)Administer game day promotions (ex: Get to Know your Mustangs, Rapid Fire)
• C)Assist Athletic Development Officer with fund-raising activities and community engagement events (ex: Gold Rush Raffle, Golf Classic, Ag Bowl, Ag Bowl Scholarship Invitational, Booster Club Socials, etc.) i.Coordinate and process mailings, registration sites and emails associated with fund-raising activities and community engagement events
• Mustang App Management
• A)Promote and Market Mustang App
• B)Set up “game day” deals in App system and manage game day promotions
• C)Work with App sponsors on deals/offers & special “in store” events
• D)Run sponsor reporting and statistics
• Other
• A)Assist with Mustang Booster Club board meetings and communication (board packets, weekly eNewsletter)
• B)Communicate/Fulfill on Corporate Sponsor contracts
• C)Manage Mustang Mail program (facilitating community engagement between coaches and schools in Marshall)
• D)Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications include:

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in college athletics
• The stipend is $8,000 plus 18 credit hours of tuition waiver per year.
• Candidate review begins immediately and continues until filled.
