Job Summary

The Assistant Coach must  provide the Head Coach support in providing leadership and management functions to produce a quality intercollegiate team that represents a commitment to excellence academically and athletically. Assists in performing on field coaching and instruction. Assists in managing aspects of program including, but are not limited to the following: recruiting, scouting, maintaining statistics, fundraising and academic monitoring.

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a college or high school varsity coach
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, planning, ability to follow a leader, detail-oriented, flexibility, initiative and sound judgment.
• A positive role model for young adults. Ability to work with a diverse student population in a multicultural environment.
• Posses a valid IL Driver's License and a good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

•    3-5 years collegiate coaching
•    Bachelors Degree in Physical Education or related field.

Description of Job Duty

•    Demonstrate and teach advanced soccer skills.
•    Mentor and advise students on personal health and academic matters.
•    Assist with strength training and nutrition programs.
•    Assist with team schedule and travel.
•    Promote and market the program.
•    Assist with recruiting and evaluating new players.
•    Assist with scouting opponents.
•    Assist with fund-raising.
•    Assist with summer activities.
