Facilities Assistant

Job Summary

 In this role you will:

• Provide all aspects of janitorial service needs in a timely response and manage and maintain a cleaning chart 
• Clean, sanitize, maintain, stock, and keep up appearances of all common areas in the office: break rooms, conference rooms, copy rooms, etc. Restrooms will be cleaned and stocked multiple times a day to ensure sanitary conditions.
• Complete janitorial services such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors when needed; clean all glass surfaces (interior windows, glass partitions, etc.); and remove waste and empty trash on a consistent basis to maintain office sanitation and appearance
• Responsible for heavy cleansing tasks and special projects for optimal sanitation 
• Organize janitorial storage area and tell Facilities Coordinator when cleaning and maintenance supplies need to be ordered
• Notify supervisor about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned

 What you’ll bring to the role: 

• Ability to perform heavy physical work including lifting 50 pounds, climbing ladders, squatting, twisting and other physical demands as needed
• Previous janitorial experience in a small to mid-sized office
• A positive demeanor, excellent communication skills, and ability to present clear and effective messages with people at all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated and organized, you successfully manage several projects concurrently while being consistently detailed and meeting your goals
• Digital literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and facility management software
• You can maintain a work schedule that will include office hours plus weekends and nights as needed
