Job Summary
Game Production Assistant
As Game Production Assistant, you will be a valuable member of the PSU Athletics External Operations team. You will assist the Director of Game Production at all home Football, Soccer, Volleyball, Softball and Men’s & Women’s Basketball games. You will also coordinate special events for PSU Athletics as needed. The foremost mission of this role is to help improve and expand all aspects of the live stream and in-house productions, by creating an enjoyable and memorable experience at our events for fans attending in person and those watching via the ESPN+ live stream broadcast.
Primary Job Duties
Game Day Experience

Assist the Director of Game Production with setting up for both the live stream and in-house productions at Viking Pavilion and Hillsboro Stadium Complex.

Responsible for testing production equipment to ensure that it’s working properly.

Work as a lead member of the production team as a camera operator, replay operator, graphics operator, director, and producer.

Aid with the filming, recording, and editing of pregame interviews and weekly coaches shows.

Communicate with master control/ESPN+ during games to ensure a smooth connection between the event site and Bristol, CT.

Assist the Director of Game Production with transporting equipment back and forth from Viking Pavilion and Hillsboro Stadium.

Run broadcasts without the assistance of the Director of Game Production & Fan Experience on days with multiple home events.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of/desire to build a career in the sports and/or entertainment industry. Position is under contract for one academic year with option for renewal. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, and one year experience in marketing, game production, video, broadcasting or sports information. Must be able to work evenings/weekends on a flexible schedule.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working in an Intercollegiate Athletics Department. Experience with live video production. Evidence of strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly to convey thoughts, ideas and plans clearly to PSU Coaches, Administrators and other staff members.

Required Availability - Office hours and event coverage are required. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed to cover athletic events.
Compensation Information - Compensation for this position will be $20/hour with a maximum workload of up to 19.5 hours per week.
