About the role:
As a Virtual Eye Sports Graphics Operator (VE Operator), you will be a key person working closely with our clients broadcast teams to integrate our graphics into live coverage of sports events. You will be responsible for operating our proprietary Virtual Eye software to deliver real-time 3D graphics during live sports events.

The role involves travelling to international locations (United States, Europe, Middle East, Australia plus others) for periodic assignments, each typically between two and eight weeks in duration. At times you may also be required to provide graphics from our Dunedin facilities - in this case your working hours will line up with the time zone where the tournament is taking place.

Responsibilities:

·       Operate Virtual Eye software to provide real-time 3D graphics during live sports broadcasts.

·       Collaborate with broadcast teams (e.g. CBS, NBC, FOX, PGA TOUR, ESPN, Golf Channel) to ensure seamless integration of graphics into live coverage. Including anticipating graphics stories that may be required to support the commentary direction.

·       Attend pre-event meetings with tournament officials and broadcast partners to understand specific requirements.

·       Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the Virtual Eye software during events.

·       Ensure the highest quality and accuracy of graphics delivered during live broadcasts.

·       Rigging and derigging Virtual Eye equipment at each location including handover of equipment to logistics/shipping providers for transport to next location

·       Manage and maintain equipment and software necessary for the operation of Virtual Eye.

·       Provide training and support to other team members as needed.

·       For Golf assignments the role also includes preparing the 3D Twin models of the courses by planting of trees, stands, fences etc.

Must Have’s:

·       A love for golf.

·       Ability to travel for periods at a time.

·       Experience within broadcast operations (bonus if it’s in graphics), or live event production.

·       Strong technical acumen and a passion for learning.

·       Analytical skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

·       Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment with excellent time management.

·       Flexibility to adapt to evolving schedules, including weekends and holidays.

·       Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a collaborative, professional and approachable manner.

·       Applicants must be US citizens with the ability for global travel.
