Job Summary

The Esports Program Director should have experience involving multiplayer online video games with team-based elements. The Esports Program Director is responsible for the recruitment of student athletes into the College Esports program and should demonstrate a vision for the program. The vision should include a recruitment and growth strategy, as well as the selection of the games in which the institution competes. This is a 10 month, full-time position with full benefits.



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Administer the College Esports program and budget

  • Scout and recruit high school and transfer students to participate in the program

  • Foster a team environment and sense of community which supports the retention of student athletes and growth in skill ability

  • Provide coaching and instruction to student athletes

  • Supervise all Esports practices and program events and functions

  • Facilitate and manage all team travel when necessary

  • Coordinate scrimmages and matches with other schools, as well as in-season and off-season practice schedules

  • Develop a long-term vision for the College Esports program

  • Identify which game titles should be pursued by the Esports program and ensure these pursuits align with the mission and vision of the institution

  • Ensure program compliance with all league, conference, and institutional rules and regulations

  • Manage the Esports program in accordance with the policies and procedures of College, as well as athletic department specific rules and regulations

  • Identify and implement a strategy to increase the visibility of the Esports program through streaming platforms

  • Prepare reports regarding the Esports program as necessary

  • Demonstrate a dedication to the pursuit of student learning outcomes at an all women, liberal arts institution

  • Serves on other committees, task forces, and boards as assigned

  • Performs other duties as assigned
